Blue Jeans, True Blue, Veronica Lake, Frankie & Fred

Summer’s finally over and it’s time to celebrate. Join us for music and small talk about cool evenings, leaves turning color and lightweight jackets. There will be sweet songs of heartbreak, tender songs about love found and lost, fucked up songs about the times as well as a tribute to the inspiring music of Scott Sendra and his amazing band down.

First up are the brilliant songs of Frankie from the band don’t. She’s playing a set with Fred Thomas tonight, which is super cool and not to be missed!

Then dial back the clock a couple of turns for the gentle reboot of Veronica Lake, a band who shared members with down 1.0 and made some gnarly records in the early 90s. Almost shoegaze, almost dream pop, almost space rock, always just a little bit wrong in the right way.

Next, get ready for the honest, earnest and hooky guitar rock of True Blue. Led by Alexandria Berry, a truly talented singer/songwriter/guitarist, the band has an EP out and like don’t, they were feted as one of the Metro Times Bands to Watch in 2019. You can watch and listen tonight!

Lastly, Blue Jeans. They are big in Spain. Tonight they’re playing some snappy, snippy tunes from their recent Adult Hits album, but are also paying tribute to Tim and Heather’s brother and friend Scott Sendra and his band down with a short set of songs from their songbook.

Free admission – Music starts at 9:00 after the jazz s done!
