Advance Base / Claire Cronin / Kevin McKay / Moon Racer

Life Like proudly presents a night of all ages music for your early summer feelings.

$5.00, All Ages, Doors at 7pm, show begins at 8pm.

Some will remember Advance Base from another lifetime when they were known as Casiotone For The Painfully Alone. That era is gone, but Owen Ashworth’s beautifully raw songs continue evolving, with a dark aura that embodies hope and struggle. This is Owen’s FIRST SHOW IN YPSILANTI, so please do not be snoozin’ on it.

Claire Cronin is an interdisciplinary artist and scholar who writes poetry and non-fiction, but her first and deepest identity is as a singer-songwriter. Cronin plays with abstraction and symbolic narrative, using language that is self-consciously gothic and religious but also grounded in the ordinary world. These songs are personal and emotional but not confessional. They are interested in psychic states.

Unmitigated synth dreams from Durham, NC solo artist Moon Racer opens the show!

Our beloved own Kevin McKay will be playing a solo set as well!

$5.00, All Ages, Doors at 7pm, show begins at 8pm.
No one turned away for lack of funds, but please don’t abuse that gesture if you can afford it. Three touring bands need some support to keep making their art.

This will be a beautiful night!
